The Things You Do For Your Sick Child

January 9, 2012

It's always a sad thing when you have children and they get sick. The reading of a thermometer confirms what you already know: fever. My 5 year old was running a temperature of 102.0 and was miserable. Any parent would want to do something to brighten their child up a little. And thankfully, I had a moment of creative genious.
My hubby was at the store, so I told him to grab a get well card. My idea was simple: he would pick up a get well card and I would then sign all the Disney Princesses names on it. We would then place it on our front porch and ring the doorbell. She would open the door and see the card.

The card did the trick! She was so excited! There was a big smile on her face, right below those rosey red fever cheeks. Score one for Mom & Dad!

She did! The look on her face was priceless. She has the card on our mantle for all to see.

What a sweet idea! And there is nothing worse than a sick child. I hope she's all better by now.
