Bridget Jones's Diary

I re-read this book while I was waiting for my library hold to come in. What a difference several years makes. The first time I read this book I thought it was a fun read. This time, I couldn't even finish it. This book just may be one of those rare times when the movie is better than the book. The movie moved the storyline along and at a good pace.
I was thinking of recommending it for a summer read, but that won't be happening. If you feel the need to get your Bridget Jones fix- watch the movies!

I wish I had read the book before I saw the movie a hundred times-because when I finally sat down to read it, I couldn't believe how much was changed for the movie. I think you're right-this is one of those rare times where the movie was better then the book.
Interesting! I actually read the second novel first and loved it. Then, I saw the movie based on the first novel and LOVED it. Afterwards, I tried to read the first novel as well and just couldn't, haha. I'm sure this means something.;)
A Buckeye Girl Reads- I'm sorry you had the same experience I did. At least they made a good movie out of it. I love watching both of the movies.
Irena- I never read the 2nd one. I planned on reading it, but then forgot to, so I'm gonna have to read it. My Sister did and enjoyed it.
